Singers are the best ambassadors for the chorus—roughly 3/4 of our ticket buyers hear about the concert from a chorus member. Here are some tools you can use to spread the word about our concerts.

• Forward Masterworks’ eblasts to your friends with a personal note

• Like us on Facebook and share events and concert-related posts

• Join Nextdoor and post the concerts on the event calendar for your neighborhood (instructions)

• Join Patch.com and post an event in your town

• Post to a Meetup group

• Share photos on Instagram and tag @masterworkschorale. BTW, we’d love someone (or a team) to take charge of Masterworks’ Instagram page. Contact Erin Renfroe at erin.renfroe@masterworksbayarea.org if you’re interested.

Vivaldi Gloria and Forrest Jubilate Deo

Here’s some text about the concert that you can use for Nextdoor, Patch, or other postings:

Nearly forgotten for two hundred years, Vivaldi’s music has surged back to enormous popularity. His glowing Gloria is particularly beloved, undoubtedly due to its compact structure and gorgeous melodies. Composed for an orphanage in Venice where Vivaldi taught, the energy and clarity of the piece rewards its many joyful interpretations.

Dan Forrest composed his Jubilate Deo at the age of 33, the same age as Vivaldi when he wrote the Gloria. The global spectrum of musical influences incorporated in this celebratory piece includes seven different languages and a dazzling variety of instrumentation. The music is lush and varied - by turns lyrical, dramatic, ethereal, deeply-rooted, propulsive, and almost Olympian in its uplifting, joyful spirit.
